Big Events for 2015!

2015 is going to be huge in the sports industry with a plethora of high profile titles up for grabs, but perhaps by far the most prestigious event to grace the sporting calendar this year is the Rugby World Cup. The world’s top 20 teams come to the UK to fight for their chance to steal the title from current defenders, the All Blacks, and raise the Webb Ellis trophy. Fixtures will be held in some of the UK’s most epic stadiums including Wembley, Twickenham, Millennium and St James Park, and the first match on 18th September between England and Fiji promises to be a great opener.

Football fans won’t have long to wait to get their sporting fix with the ongoing UEFA Champions League. The qualifying rounds promise first class football with an epic final to be held at Berlin’s Olympiastadion, where current defenders Real Madrid hope to lift the coveted Champions League trophy once more.

The 2015 F1 season will be one not to miss. For the first time in over two decades the Mexico Grand Prix will be held at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in Mexico City. Races start in Australia on 15th March, and with Mercedes in pole position after reigning supreme in 2014 thanks to the combined efforts of Hamilton and Rosberg.

Next up we see Stade Roland-Garros welcome international tennis players on to its clay courts for the French Open. Matches start on 18th May and fans will be flocking to see if four time defending champion Nadal can retain his title and Maria Sharapova will also be returning to see if she can land her third French Open.
